Pierre, along with Mike Weir, is a co-creator of the game creating system, 001.

Pierre is the main graphics artist for the engine, opposite Mike, who is the main programmer.

Pierre led us to believe that he was human, but recent predicaments have pointed to the obvious! Pierre is a humanoid robot. He use to be a human until he got into an accident and Mike saved him by making him a robot and programmed him. Mike put his programming skills to the test to create, the First Ever Robot-Human!

We were first led to believe that Mike and Pierre met when Mike programmed him, but yet that seems to have been just a rumur, here is a direct quote from the forums:

Mike is right. Once upon a time, we both went to French (elementary) school together. Then one day Mike, like the jerk that he is, decided to assimilate, abandon his glorious French heritage, become a pro golfer, and go to English high school. Naturally, I was crushed. One evening I decided I’d had enough and jumped out of my window. I nearly died. Thankfully Mike saved me, transforming me into the robot that I am today. True story."
