Ammunition

Ammunition (ammo) is a type of item resource that is purely used by single shot and repeat shot weapons. This was designed this way so multiple weapons could use the same source ammunition, so item pick-ups, treasure chests or dropped items could contain pure ammunition, and so they could properly be used in shops.

These items are pretty much exceptions in that they cannot be shown with characters and have no knowledge of statistics.
